Why is Record Keeping So Important?
Now that you know what Wager Logged has to offer you might be asking yourself is it really worth it? The answer is a resounding yes and here's why.
Ask any successful business owner what their top selling product or service is and without thinking they will tell you. Do you know why? It's because they keep records of every sale and they know which product or service is most profitable and which is least profitable. This allows them to spend more time and money promoting the most profitable product or service, which in turn helps them maximize their revenue.
Ask any successful financial adviser or financial investor where they invest their money and their client's money and they will be able to tell you instantly. Why? Because they analyze all the markets and know which investments are overvalued and which are undervalued, which helps them maximize their return on investment.
Finally, if you know or ever run into a full-time horseplayer ask them what their strengths and weaknesses are and they will be able to tell you. Why? Because they, unlike most, keep detailed records of their bets because they know that it gives them an edge and that edge might be the difference between a profitable and unprofitable year.
Here's the bottom line, 95% of horseplayers lose money annually or only turn a small profit but my guess is most of them don't know it and don't want to know it. They hit a few decent bets during the course of the year and assume they are ahead but they aren't. They don't want to face the facts that they are losing money year in and year out so they don't track their bets.
On top of that it can be a time-consuming process. With no tools available you either have to use a spreadsheet, which were not designed for this purpose or build your own database, which for the inexperienced can be very intimidating. Also in order to get the full picture you would need to look up the details (distance, surface, race conditions, etc.) of every race you bet and input that information into each record.
Up until now we can't blame horseplayers for slacking off on record keeping especially if they are casual or semi-serious horseplayer's. It's hard to justify spending hours documenting and analyzing data for an activity that is not a major part of your life.
That is why we created Wager Logged. Wager Logged is designed for all levels of horseplayers. There are three tiers of membership: Basic for casual horseplayers, Premium for serious horseplayers and Premium + for serious horseplayers who also play in handicapping contests.
There is no excuse for not keeping records now because the most difficult part of the process is done for you. All you need to do is supply your wagering history (and handicapping contest history) and the rest is done for you.
If you want to make money betting on horses you have to know which races to bet. Turning a profit isn't about cashing winning tickets it's about avoiding races (and wager types) in which you have no advantage and seeking out races (and wager types) in which you do. Wager Logged will tell you all you need to know.
So what are you waiting for? Stop being one of the 95% of horseplayers that either lose money or don't make very much money at the track and take the first step to joining the 5% Club that makes a significant profit year in and year out. Register now and give it a try. You have nothing to lose because the first thirty days are free and there is no obligation after that.
